Thursday 14th April 2011 - a word of warning from Serena, our centre manager and founder, regarding the suspected orphans we had fill up our centre to the brim this spring. Serena, pictured left with Mi-mi the badger cub spoke to the Standard
Wednesday 28th July 2010 - the arrival of our first ever otter cub shocked and excited us all. After spending the night with Katia at her home, the little cub had to be passed on to a wildlife centre with better facilities for caring for it! Seeing as we have never had them, we had no means to care for them, maybe now we'll rethink that! The Gloucestershire Standard covers the story.
Monday 11th May 2009 - Our two voluntary drivers responded to a distress call from Nutbeam Farm where a deer had got its self stuck in the mud! As it struggled for freedom, it just sank further. Paul and Stuart managed to free it and it was released back into the wild. Read the full story here
Tuesday 22nd June 2010 - After receiving a call from a distressed farmer, volunteers rushed to the scene of a mother and ducklings who had fallen into a 20 foot slurry pit! Of course the mother could fly away but the ducklings were stuck. Kez went into the thick thigh high cow manure to rescue all 8 ducklings! The Gloucestershire Standard tells the story
Saturday 3rd May 2008 - The Gloucestershire Standard covered the story when Gloucestershire Animal and Bird Rescue we're told they had to leave the land they had set up on, and merged with Oak and Furrows wildlife Rescue in order to survive.
Monday 7th April 2008 - six fox cubs were bought into our centre in desperate need of feeding after their mother did not return for what we think was 2 - 3 days. They were all reared at the centre and eventually released. The Gloucestershire Standard reports the story
