Events and Appeals

Oak and Furrows attends various events with stalls or displays to raise awareness and sell goodies we have. If you’d like to come along to see us, keep an eye on this page to find out where we’ll be next!

Do you have an event you’d like Oak and Furrows to attend? E-mail us or phone the centre about it! We’d love to come where possible!

Appeals

We are always appealing for donations of money, dog and cat food, towels, blankets, sheets, pillow cases, duvets, tea towels, kitchen rolls and wild bird seed to keep costs down at the centre.

Usually, there is a big project going on at the centre as well! At the moment, our major project is the relocation of the whole centre to a new site. If you think you could help by donating time, materials or some money to help the cause please get in touch!

Talks by our Staff

We give talks throughout the year which are aimed at anyone who is interested in wildlife and the work of the centre. Through them we hope to achieve;

  • Education of adults and children in the needs of wildlife
  • Understanding of how to provide initial care for wildlife casualties and how to recognise when they are in need of our help and when to leave well alone
  • Local awareness of wildlife issues and the work of our centre
  • Support and funding in order for us to continue helping wildlife inour area

If you would like to book a talk with one of our members of staff please call the office on 01285 862439
